Training days set are as follows: 3 September 2026, 4 September 2026, 9 April 2027 and 28 May 2027.

Training day 5 will be made up of several twilight sessions determined by individual schools.

Training days are set as follows: 2 September 2027, 3 September 2027, 1 November 2027, 5 January 2028 and 26 May 2028.

Pupil contact will amount to 190 of the 195 days; schools will be closed on five of the 195 days. In accordance with Teachers’ Conditions of Service, five days will be used to enable teacher training to take place.

Haynes Lower School's Opening Hours

The Government Guidance states that all mainstream state-funded schools should provide a school week of at least 32.5 hours by September 2023.

At Haynes Lower School we provide 33.75 hours per week, thus exceeding the Government Guidance and Expectation.
