What an amazing first three days! The children have been a pleasure. They have come into school absolutely ready to learn.
We have begun learning our phonic sounds. We have been saying the sounds, writing the sounds, blending the sounds to begin reading and creating pieces of work to help us remember our sounds.
In Maths we have enjoyed singing lots of counting songs, Days of the Week songs, counting forwards and backwards to 20 and finding the missing number on the number square. We have also been matching and sorting objects, explaining how they are the same or how they are different.
We went on a local walk around Haynes, looking at places of interest and learning how to be safe whilst out on our paths and crossing roads.
We have visited our school library to choose a book to read for pleasure.
