Robins……Frozen water and ice play - 24 January 2015 Mrs Hearn : 2014-2015

To really appreciate how cold it may be in parts of the Arctic, the children have enjoyed playing with ice / frozen water and melting ice. The children have used topical and scientific vocabulary in their play and we have heard children using the following words: Frozen, freezing, ice, icy, melting, drip, sun, melts, ice berg, very cold, extremely freezing, it hurts it’s so cold……I’m sure as their play develops we will hear even more wonderful vocabulary.
